The Johnson County Park & Recreation District, along with Olathe Medical Center and the TRiKC Triathlon Club, are pleased to host an open water swim clinic on July 16. This clinic is for all triathletes who would like to improve their open water swim skills. Participants will gain valuable tips designed to make them more comfortable and efficient while swimming in open water, as well as tips on how to enter and exit the water, swimming in a group, drafting, buoy turns, and navigation techniques. Drills and training advice will be provided for both open water swimming and simulating open water swimming in the pool. Race day performance and strategies will be discussed. The clinic is FREE! After the presentation, there will be a lake swim practice focusing on how to train to swim like a confident triathlete.
